[KB140007][TOUCH][PCT][eGalaxy][Internal] PCT Touch tester by eGalaxyTester

This is for SENOR internal use, Please don't release out.

After unzip the tool, please launch eGalaxyTester.exe and then

 1.Use mouse to click “Start Test” and check if red circled items are passed.

2.During the test, it perform some manual test as attached video.

3.Please do the test as attached video.Check the final result is PASS or FAIL.

[KB140005][BIOS][BRIGHTNESS][KDS66]adjust the LCD brightness of KDS66T from BIOS

To adjust the LCD brightness of KDS66T from BIOS

1. Keep striking Del to enter BIOS setup while system powered on.

2. Strike Enter on PC Health Status

3. Strike enter on the LCD Back Light Control to select the required brightness level.

4. After set the required brightness level, strike F10 -> Y -> Enter to save and exit the BIOS setup.  Finished.

[KB140004][iCPOS]Quick manual to Discharge / Set up iCPOS series Front Set

1.Remove the screws.

2.Turn over the unit to have the touch panel faced up, and then use a thin mylar sheet to detach the rear casing and the front panel.  Below mylar sheet is from SHOP POS Power supply.

To install the front panel. just align the front panel to the rear casing.

Snap fit the front panel to the rear casing.

Still need help to test and check

1.      Is there any damage on the touch surface?

2.      If we will get back one unit, can we replicate the issue for the returned unit?

3.      If yes, please save the customer’s OS image, and test if our OS image to the returned unit will have the same problem.

4.      If our OS image is also with the problem.  For touch panel, please try measure the resistance for the cable.  To measure the touch panel, please

i)                    Set the multi-meter to the largest scale of resistance.

i)                    Measure the resistance between the 1 and 3 pins.

i)                    For below conditions, the touch panel is good.

The resistance between the 1 and 3 pin will be ∞ without touch.

The resistance will be 0 with touch.

For below condition, the touch panel is failed.

The resistance between the 1 and 3 pin is not ∞ without touch.

5.        If the touch panel is no problem, please try changing the touch controller to see if the problem is from it.

[KB140002][CD][CASH DRAWER]Open Cash Drawer command and OPOS

Please find below methods to operate the cash drawer port of our POS system.  You may also find attached CD1 for COM5 cash drawer and CD2 for COM6 cash drawer.

1. Direct I/O method

-To kick the drawer, just to enable both DTR and RTS and then send a ASCII to the COM5 or COM6 where the cash drawer connected, and then the drawer will be kicked.  Please reference to below VB sample code to kick the cash drawer connected to COM5.

-To detect if the drawer is opened or not, need to check the status of the RI signal.  For SENOR cash drawer, the RI is Low while the drawer is opened.  Please find the link for the reference code to detect the RI signal on COM5.

2. OPOS method. 

-Please find the link for the OPOS driver.  Below is process to install and use the OPOS driver and demo program to operate the cash drawer which is connected to the cash drawer port of the SENOR POS system.

(i)During installing the attached Senor OPOS Driver, please select the Cash Drawer Status as Drawer Status When Open - Low.

(ii)After install the attached Senor OPOS Driver, please click to Start -> Senor -> Features Demo

(iii)Click Cash Drawer page, and choose Cash Drawer 1(COM5) or Cash Drawer 2 (COM6).

(iv)Click Open -> Claim -> Device Enable(check) -> Open Drawer  =>  The drawer will be opened and the Cash Drawer State should become The Cash Drawer 1 – OPEN(If the cash drawer status is wrong, please reinstall the Senor OPOS driver by checking Drawer Status When Open - Low)

BTW, below is the pin assignment for the cash drawer port of SENOR POS system.  The connected cash drawer need 24 V rated and with the cable with the matched pin assignment.
