Please find below
methods to operate the cash drawer port of our POS system. You may also
find attached CD1 for COM5 cash drawer and CD2 for COM6 cash drawer.
1. Direct I/O
method
-To kick the drawer,
just to enable both DTR and RTS and then send a ASCII to the COM5 or COM6 where
the cash drawer connected, and then the drawer will be kicked. Please
reference to below VB sample code to kick the cash drawer connected to COM5.
-To detect if the
drawer is opened or not, need to check the status of the RI signal. For
SENOR cash drawer, the RI is Low while the drawer is opened. Please find
the
link for the reference code to detect the RI
signal on COM5.
2. OPOS
method.
-Please find the link for the OPOS driver. Below is process to install
and use the OPOS driver and demo program to operate the cash drawer which is
connected to the cash drawer port of the SENOR POS system.
(i)During installing the attached
Senor OPOS Driver, please select the Cash Drawer Status as Drawer Status When
Open - Low.
(ii)After install the attached Senor OPOS Driver, please click to Start -> Senor -> Features Demo
(iii)Click Cash Drawer page, and
choose Cash Drawer 1(COM5) or Cash Drawer 2 (COM6).
(iv)Click Open -> Claim ->
Device Enable(check) -> Open Drawer => The drawer will be
opened and the Cash Drawer State should become The Cash Drawer 1 – OPEN(If the cash drawer status is wrong, please
reinstall the Senor OPOS driver by checking Drawer Status When Open - Low)
BTW, below is the pin
assignment for the cash drawer port of SENOR POS system. The connected
cash drawer need 24 V rated and with the cable with the matched pin assignment.
